Every single percyannabeth interaction in the last olympian makes me go absolutely feral its always some combination of charged eye contact and swallowed down words and percy telling somebody not to touch her
like IMAGINE having a crush on somebody for 4 years and you both know theres feelings between you but you cant do anything about it because 1) you’ve been prophesized to die in a matter of hours and it would be cruel of you to start something and then abandon her the way she’s been abandoned her entire life and 2) she knows that you are meant to die and has known it since the day you met and has always believed your relationship to be doomed and 3) you both have other people you’re a little in love with because they represent other parts of your lives which are easier and the fact that you each resent the other’s other person has become a sore spot in your friendship and 4) you cant even say to yourself how you really feel because youre a teenage boy and youre frightened of uprooting your relationship because thats not fair to her either, even though she lashes out at you for hiding your feelings and even though she won’t tell you hers either. So instead you say nothing and you go on protecting each other and trusting each other recklessly and thinking of each other to keep yourselves alive and choosing each other over everything, over and over, without hesitation, and pretending it means nothing.
